About This So Called “Damsel”
Hi…my name is Nickie; sometimes referred to as NickieSixx or JoanThreat depending whom you’re asking.
I’m a 30something that often times appears to the foolish eye to be a 20something. I fancy myself a teenager mentally (or sometimes even that of a 12 yr old boy), and I always sit at the “Kids’ Table”
I was born in a Hoosier town, at 18 I left home looking for a degree in Fashion Design at Kent State University…after graduation I got the heck outta DODGE and headed to the Big Apple, finding housing in the fine borough of Brooklyn where I’ve been ever since.
Since 2003 I’ve been an Eveningwear Designer in NYC…I often times wish I could turn around and head south for Nashville, work part time at Michael’s Craft Store (for the discount of course!) and marry Waylon Jennings.
…a girl can dream!
But for now, I’ll try to keep my head out of the clouds, and chronicle my navigation thru life—via social skills, travels, friends, ups n downs, and LOTS of eating. I’ll toss in some old honky tonk, good rock n roll, occasionally a bad hairband, and a fave girl group just to make some noise. I’ll probably also wear lots of clothes and do crafty things from time to time. I also believe I’m teaching myself how to cook…
So buckle up kids, my lifestyle can be a rollercoaster at times, or at the very least a Sunday drive with the grandparents. And there’s a girl gang involved!
I am a well rounded, charmingly snarky, bit of HELL on HEELS!
And that makes “The Damsel”…though not one in distress!
