If there’s one thing I love to do…that’s EAT! And I’m not a stranger to carnivorous activity, and I’m no hater of BBQ either. So what better way to spend time with friends and spend time outdoors on a Sunday than to hit up the annual Big Apple BBQ Block Party in Manhattan?
Bands, food, drinks, awesome!
I got there before everyone else so I caught a few minutes of the Roadside Graves’ set on the main stage—they were pretty good…but not as good as the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich that I smothered with some questionable “white sauce” then devoured. Oh man…southern BBQ is the best! I think this might’ve been from Memphis, but I could also be making that up.
Then I finished up with the best, most buttery, sugar coma of a desert: Blueberry Crisp. Mmmmmm!
Of course I couldn’t pass up the rootbeer float sold at the same booth as the blueberry crisp, so I got that too.
Then I came home…and I’m ready for a nap.
