Yesterday, out of convenience to my apartment, and somewhat the fact that its half the price of my current gym, I joined Planet Fitness.
I got in my inaugural workout, but left after 20minutes. There is plenty of cardio equiment, but it was the weight training area I’m worried about. It was so overcrowded, there was very little space, and everyone seemed to have a workout buddy but me…so that meant they were hogging machines 2x as long.
Not to mention, being the new girl at the gym, I did not assert my “authority” as I was still testing out the waters.
I left feeling as if I got in no workout at all, and a little uneasy about my decision…was it convenience over quality? I didn’t realize it could get much worse than the crowds at Retro Fitness, but now I’m wondering just how wrong I might’ve been.
I’ll give it a few more visits, hoping I soon figure out a good time when next to no meatheads are there hogging the weights, the machines, and the area I need to WORK-IT-OUT
pffssttt…feeling defeated!
New kicks for the gym, these Flyknit One+’s are by far the most comfortable shoe ever!
Forget the heels, I might just wear these on a regular running errands kinda day. Afterall, they are running shoes.
But mostly, thanks to mom and dad for the Foot Locker gift card I got for christmas. Helped me talk myself into the splurge, rather than going for the athletic shoes on the shelf marked “Sale”.
Did I mention these are more comfy than my slippers? How they make me feel like I’m walking on clouds? Oh yeah…its all true. So far, it appears Nike rocks my socks!
My Weekend was SKETCHY to say the least!
First off, Friday night I was snowed in, spent most of the night doodling some fashion illustrations, formulating ideas for new artistic endeavors…
Then Saturday rolled around, I hung out with my BFF, in town from Ohio, and while strolling from place to place an idea was formed…
So Sunday, after my trip to the gym (which seems to be the only thing I did that took place off of the sofa), I bought a new sketch book, and got to down to business-the business of being SKETCHY…
I just need to give myself props for a second…
Yesterday, I met with my trainer. After the grueling 30min session he high fived me, told me people like me make his job worthwhile, then proceeded to applaud me on my amazing progression and fitness level! And then he told me he was giving me a free session because he was very proud!
Yay ME! Get in shape girl!
The 300 Ab Workout- Killer Warrior Abs
Ok here goes nothing! I’m going to give this a go. I make it to the gym about 3x/week. So I’m not going to make wild promises that I’ll do this 7x/week…but I’m going to shoot for 5x and we’ll see what happens.
If all else fails, I’ll stick to the abdominal sets my trainer gives me. They’re not making anything worse…nor better (insert nudge of the pudge)
