I’m on a kick since I’m reading his biography…thanks to my mom’s collection I’ve also got this on rotation.
If this is on rotation, it only means one thing. I’ve finally got that record player of mine up and running! Thanks to BF, its now hooked up to my stereo! T’was a feat I couldn’t seem to figure out…when all along it turns out I DID have it hooked up correctly, go figure—I didn’t realize there was a volume lever underneath the turntable. GAH! All these years, about 4 total! I could’ve been listening to my ever growing record collection…but alas, finally I am doing just that!
And for its inaugural spin, I can’t think of a better ditty than something by Hank!
One of the best “Fist City” covers I’ve heard in a long time…Norah Jones w/The Little Willies just nails it! (btw, this song is only one of my fave songs ever…give Loretta Lynn’s a listen too! She’s the original!)
