I’ll be here all night!
That’s right…the concert I’ve been waiting for, finally here.  The stage I’ve been dying to stand directly front and center of…I’ll manage that like a veteran of the scene.

Nikki Sixx and Friends…in concert, coming to a knick knack shelf near you.
—I did a little “spring” cleaning in my bedroom.  After dusting the tchotchke shelf, I found myself situating my woodland friends for an acoustic concert. (NERD ALERT)

Free swag at “the Story of Rock n Roll Comics”!
With that being said…in continuation of yesterday’s post, the BF did not forget the preplanned brunch/movie date.  Although it wasn’t a date really since my friend Jess was also there, it was moreso a group hangout.
But lets forget all that nonsense I complained about yesterday and talk about this jazz here!
So yeah, I went to see the documentary “The Story of Rock n Roll Comics”, about a comic book company that basically did unauthorized biographies on the big rock bands of the 80s and 90s.  Then the man behind it was found stabbed to death.  Pretty tragic!
Turns out, no one else in Williamsburg can wake up in time for a noon matinee and brunch (I was at Nitehawk Cinemas, that’s how I got brunch while I watched the movie). And that worked out well for me!  You see, there was a Q&A with the father of the man who started the comics, and the movie distributer was also there ready to give out “prizes” if we could answer his trivia questions correctly.  Well with no one else having been there, it was a little sad having a near empty theater for them I’m sure…but he so graciously handed all the free stuff to us and let the BF and my friend and myself fight over it.  SCORE!!!!!!
Now let’s just say I’m going to be keeping a wide eye out for any Rock n Roll Comics as I peruse the streets of NY this summer.  I completely would read any of them, on any band…and holy hell look out if I can track down one of the Motley Crue or GNR comics!
